The finished nursery
It occurred to me the other day that I had never posted pictures of the completed nursery. Here is a wrap-around view. One corner isn't shown. It has the rocking chair and closet, the edge of which is visible in the photo with the horse. I painted the background and used stickers to add the farm details to the walls.

Windows
We found the curtains at Shipshewana. The barn mobile was made by Erin's sister, Shannon. There are over 50 books in that bookcase, all given by friends. Kyle is a much-loved boy!
Quilt and Crib
One of Erin's aunts made the wall hanging. Originally, we had registered for several items that matched it, but they were all discontinued right after we did! So. . .no matcing crib mobile for Kyle. We ended up with dinosaurs. I guess the pterodactyl looks kind of like a chicken. . .
Now that Kyle cans see faces, he really likes being on the changing table.
Kyle's Baby Chicks
This wall was originally empty, except for the cow. I didn't want to use the barn sticker, because it was wrinkled. . .and then I realized Kyle wouldn't care. Up went the barn, the five chicks, and the bale of straw. Now daddy counts to five and goes through the colors when Kyle is getting changed. And the boy loves to look at the barn!

Horse peeking out of the barn
We decided to find a red curtain to use to cover the closet to suggest a barn door. From there, it's only natural to have the horse peeking out. . .
