If you are trying to become a better photographer yourself, here are a few links that provide ideas and tutorials, ranging from beginners' skills to more advanced techniques. I will add more links in the future.

Lots of tips and tricks, including a basic reminder page for digital photography:

2. Better Photos for Kids
There are lots of FREE examples and tips here. There is also a Members section, which DOES HAVE A FEE.
3. Atlanta Photography's Kid's Tips
This is a also good site for adults to review, and to get started. Tip #1: "Have fun!" Tip #2: "Experiment." That's good photography advice, regardless of age.
4. “Basic Photography Concepts.”
Discusses terms such as "exposure" and "ISO."
5. The Popular Photography Site
Even without a subscription, you can access many articles and equipment reviews.
6. Digital Photography School
This site has many useful articles. It may be more useful for adults and older students. Use the search button on the right to look for topics that interest you.

7. Beyond Megapixels' "Getting Started in Photography"
This is a series of articles, including tips for buying a camera and using manual settings. If it seems like too much, try this one from pxleyes instead and choose from 34 tutorials on a variety of topics.
8. "The Beginner's Guide to Simple Photography Concepts"
Perhaps not as simple as the author thinks, but there are pictures illustrating ISO, shutter speed, etc.
9. Depth of Field
An explanation of aperture size and depth of field, with pictures to show it.

This page includes a chart of the aperture openings to remind you of the relationship: bigger number = smaller opening.
